The Company’s 100 percent owned Fruta del Norte gold mine, located in southeast Ecuador has been in production since late 2019, and is among the highest-grade operating gold mines in the world. We also have operation in the East African Region with Significant historical artisanal mining activity with grades ranging between 5 and 58 g/t Au along >13km of linear structures that represent less than 10% of potential structures delineated by airborne magnetic anomalies. Fruta del Norte
The Fruta del Norte gold mine in southeast Ecuador is one of the highest-grade operating gold mines in the world. It has probable reserves of 4.92 million ounces at an average grade of 8.7 grams per tonne gold. Lundin Gold acquired the asset in late 2014, began construction in July 2017, poured first gold in November 2019, and declared commercial production in February 2020, ahead of schedule.
